Daniel Hulme, CEO Satalia
Leading expert in artificial intelligence and CEO of optimisation company Satalia, Daniel Hulme reflects on business infrastructure, organisation and social problems, in particular the future of work in the post-Covid world. In his vision – the “Ultra-gig” society – companies are a thing of the past, innovation comes from citizens and data is more valuable than capital.
Stephen Clarke, Head of Communications, Terracycle
Stephen Clarke is the Head of Communications for TerraCycle and Loop Europe. His role is to oversee the communications strategy and PR teams for both TerraCycle Europe and Loop Europe. This involves the development and implementation of both reactive and pro-active media relations campaigns, promoting TerraCycle and Loop’s work and recycling / reuse initiatives. He also acts as the media spokesperson for both TerraCycle and Loop in the UK. He has worked for TerraCycle since 2011.
Claudia Gwinnutt, Founder, Circla
Prior to starting Circla, Claudia worked for almost a decade at Barclays Bank, holding many UK and international management and strategic roles. She has extensive leadership, strategic, operational, P&L, and project management experience – having launched multiple high profile projects and run various product teams. Claudia secured pre-seed investment from Sustainable Ventures in August 2019, soon after leaving Barclays, enabling her to launch the first pilot of Circla in Luton Airport in November 2019.
Martin Myerscough, sustainability-focused entrepreneur
Martin Myerscough is a Mechanical Engineer by training. He is also a Chartered Accountant. In the past, he founded a Biotech Company and an Art Investment Fund. Most recently he started Frugalpac which developed coffee cups and more recently a cardboard wine bottle. He sold out of that business in May 2020 to concentrate on other packaging projects.
Zarina Kanji, Alibaba Group, Business Development, UK & Nordics
Zarina Kanji has been leading Tmall Business Development for health, food, and beverage brands at Alibaba UK & Nordics since September 2018. She is responsible for helping brands enter the Chinese market and build their business by connecting them to the more than 650 million annual active consumers on Alibaba’s platforms. She is based in London. Prior to joining Alibaba, Zarina was Regional Head of Fashion & Sport Brand Partnerships at Lazada Group, Southeast Asia’s leading ecommerce company acquired by Alibaba Group in 2016. She spent the first 10 years of her career as a Buyer for House of Fraser, Ralph Lauren and Jaeger specialising in Luxury womenswear and childrenswear in Europe and the Middle East.
Bill Grimsey, Retail Consultant
Bill is one of the foremost retail experts in the UK, having been CEO of Wickes, Iceland, Booker, Focus DIY and Park n Shop Hong Kong. In 2013 he published The Grimsey Review, which explains the decline of the UK high street and sets out a vision for the future. In July 2018 he released the follow-up to this Review and this year published the Build Back Better – Covid-19 Supplement. He is also the author of Sold Out, which explores the same subject.
Jackie Sadek, COO, Regeneration UK Ltd
Jackie has over 30 years’ experience in property development, managing large-scale urban regeneration projects and public private sector partnerships. She is a national spokesperson on regeneration matters, a speaker and broadcaster on regeneration issues. In 2010, Jackie became founder and Chief Executive of UK Regeneration (UKR), an organisation developing new models of delivery for regeneration projects. From March 2014 to July 2016 Jackie held the position of Specialist Regeneration Adviser to Greg Clark, Minister for Cities and then Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government. Jackie is an original member of the Grimsey Review team, looking at what should be done now in order to better prepare our High Streets and Town Centres for the 21st Century. Jackie is now developing 1,500 homes in Bedfordshire.
David Keene, CMO xSellco
David is Chief Marketing Officer where he is responsible for expanding its customer base in the UK and beyond, while also launching sophisticated products and solutions to support businesses of all shapes and sizes. An experienced global marketing leader, David has an extensive track record at global B2B software and service vendors where he has led large marketing and go-to-market teams within enterprise cloud software, sales enablement, field marketing, programme management, marketing operations and go-to-market functions.
Sarah Hill, CEO of Healium
Sarah Hill is the CEO of Healium, a virtual and augmented reality tool for the self-management of stress powered by the user’s own brainwaves and heart rate. After 20 years as a TV reporter covering trauma, her media diet of reporting the day’s headlines ultimately made her sick. Hill developed Healium for herself as well as the 41 million others who struggle with anxiety. Healium is a digi-ceutical for people to detox from what they’re consuming digitally. Healium is the world’s first biometrically-powered VR/AR immersive media channel controlled by the user’s brainwaves and heart rate via consumer wearables. Hill’s XR experiences are clinically validated in 3 peer-reviewed journals and have been viewed more than 7 million times. She is also a former interactive TV news journalist for the NBC, ABC, & CBS affiliates in Missouri.
Kent Yoshimura, Neuro CEO and co-founder
Kent Yoshimura is co-founder & CEO of L.A.-based Neuro, a health and wellness company that creates functional gum and mints that you can take anywhere, anytime to refresh your state of mind and do more. Yoshimura also is a multimedia creative, filmmaker, and athlete. He currently paints large-scale murals as both a freelance artist and a qualified muralist through the L.A. Department of Cultural Affairs.
Iain De Havilland, Founder and CEO of the NADclinic Group
Iain’s passion is holistic health & wellness innovation, bio-hacking, and improving mental well-being & cognitive performance. Entrepreneur, Iain set up the NADclinic Group after first being originally introduced to NAD+IV as an alternative therapy for executive burn out and alcohol detox at a rehabilitation center he had co-founded in Spain. He later spent much time in South Africa & the US researching NAD+ discovering the myriad health benefits of NAD+IV. Subsequently teaming up with the original South African pioneers of NAD+ IV treatment and along with Dr Saskia Kloppenburg Vieth, Iain invested in developing a range of proprietary tailored NAD+ IV protocols. Dr Saskia was born in Germany and grew up in Spain, where she attended medical school and obtained her consultancy in general internal medicine. Soon she realised the importance of having an individualised and holistic approach to health and her interest in complementary medicine lead her to look deeper into the importance of life-style nutrition and emotional wellbeing, and finally into NAD+. She works with cancer patients at the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine, and at NADclinic where she says she is able to expand personally and professionally.
Zehra Chatoo, Connection Planner, Facebook & Instagram
Zehra’s key focus at Facebook is on driving consumer insights and brand building to achieve business growth. Zehra recently joined Facebook, having worked both client and agency side in her 17 years in the industry. In her most recent role, Zehra headed up strategy at Manning Gottlieb OMD, working across a range of brands including Estee Lauder Companies, Starbucks, Virgin, Sony Pics and Government comms. Zehra has won numerous industry awards for her strategic work including IPA Effectiveness, Cannes, MediaWeek and Campaign awards.
Alessandra Mariani, Strategist, Tik Tok
Alessandra develops social and experience strategies for some of the world’s biggest brands including LEGO, Disney and L’Oreal. She specialises in brand, omnichannel and consumer behaviour, focusing on the intersection between functional and experiential in modern communications. Graduating from University of East Anglia with Masters in Brand Leadership, Alessandra has a passion for education, hosting masterclasses on branding at UEA, and co-creating an MSc course with Ravensbourne University. Alessandra was awarded Transform’s Young Contender of the Year 2018 for Strategy and is a confident speaker and regular spokesperson for areas of interest in the media.
